Firebase is a Backend As A Service BaaS platform of Google where you can develop mobile and web applications with great ease. However, if due to some downsides of Firebase, you are looking for a reliable open-source alternative of Firebase, then you must consider the following options.

    Firebase Alternatives

    1. Parse

If you are looking for an entirely free option like the Firebase with real-time notifications, REST, data management and push notification features, then Parse should be your first choice. Actually, Facebook introduced this platform in 2011 but made in open-source in 2016. Around 600 thousand plus applications are using this backend source.

    2. Back4App

It is also one of the most reliable alternates of Firebase. Yes, it is also an open-source alternate of Firebase and allows you free tire option. Scalable database, multi-cloud hosting and real-time database also make it prominent among these other alternates of Firebase.

    3. Kuzzle

It is also a known BaaS service which could be considered a reliable alternate of Firebase. Kuzzle also provides features like real-time database, geofencing, APIs etc., but unluckily, it is not a free option like the Firebase. Kuzzle charges could be around $1,200.

    4. Hoodie

Hoodie is also an open-source alternative of Firebase. It is a very simple off-line JavaScript backend which doesn’t use any backend technology to complete its tasks. If you are more interested in offline development, then it could be a good option.

In this thread, I shared one of the best alternatives of Google Firebase, but if you know more BaaS services, then you can share by commenting below.
